Justin is an Analyst at Chartwell Capital Solutions. His proficiencies include business valuation analysis for fairness opinions, Stock Appreciation Rights (SARs), Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), financial reporting, ownership transition planning, and various other valuation purposes for companies. He has experience valuing minority and controlling positions in telecommunication, pharmaceutical, technology, and health care.
Prior to his current position, Justin was a Summer Analyst, focused on business valuation, with a top middle-market investment bank in New York City. He was offered employment in New York, but chose a return to Portland, Oregon where he could be closer to his family and community.
Justin’s personal interests focus on charitable endeavors. He has worked at the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, a foundation with $750mm AUM and annual grants to non-profits of approximately $70mm per year. He also volunteers within the children and college ministry at his local church.
Justin is first in his senior class at Portland State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance. He is a recipient of the CFA Society of Portland Scholarship.
